*Our soaps are handmade using lye. All soap is made from lye (technically). While lye itself is caustic, when the chemical process in the soap is complete and the lye cures, there is no lye left in the soap - just the product of the chemical reaction it created. The hard bar soaps are made from Sodium Hydroxide (lye); liquid soaps are made from Potassium Hydroxide (Potash Lye).
Baking Soda, Organic Sugar, Coconut Sugar, Arrowroot Powder (starch), Epsom Salt.
All leather used is hand selected from the best sources. Every leather piece is 100% genuine leather. We never use leather that is man made or "chrome tanned". We use high quality leather dyes and finishes to get the desired look and finish. After the dying process we use top of the line oils and conditioners to soften and protect the leather from drying out and to give it an aged look. we use the same conditioners and oils that saddle makers, boot makers, and cowboys have used for generations to keep leather functional for years.
On all our leather work that incorporates metal plates we never use premade or precut blanks. We use repurposed copper and metal from a variety of sources. To create the handmade and vintage look for our metal we take our repurposed metal and use heat, hammer, and an old blacksmith anvil to hammer and form into the look we are intending. This means that every metal piece is unique and original. No two pieces of metal look the same, but every one comes out with it's own unique "hammered" look rather than the premade blanks from China.
In all our products we use high quality rivets and fasteners. Our favorite rivet is the copper rivets that saddle makers use. It not only creates a vintage look, but it is known as the most durable and indestructible rivet that can be used.
All snaps, buckles, conchos and other materials are purchased through the most reputable suppliers in the leather business. Our snaps are durable and will last. We hand set each and every snap with a mallet, setter, and small anvil. After each snap is set we test to make sure the fastener is set perfectly.
